.. a medieval order of nuns..?

Phew. Here we are at the end of my #365DaysWild!! Thanks for hanging in there..

Our 2023 lawn began with no-mow May which became let-it-bloom-in-June into thigh-high-in-July and on onto go-bust August.

It left us with big expanses of thick late-summer grass to cut through with scythes and strimmers. Gosh, it was a slog.

This year we’re making it more-manageable by cutting the tall grass towards the end of June and returning it to a conventional lawn before it becomes a massive chore.

Mowing was this afternoons job.

We’re left with big patches of brown grass that look as though we’ve had a party for Labrador bitches.

And look at the new squirrel baffle in the bird feeder.. Resembling the medieval headgear of an order of nuns.

Now the lawn is ready for family and friends events during the long, hot summer ahead…,
