an apple a day........

Our cordoned apple trees were planted in Autumn of 2003.
We chose a range of varieties that would provide fruit over a long period and pollinate one another.
Our early apple is Greensleeves and it has always vied with Red Falstaff to be the most abundant cropper. This year, in a vintage year for fruit generally, Greensleeves has been superb.
The fruits told us they were ready because they came away with only a slight twist to the stem.
Great big, juicy organic apples that are so sweet and crunchy!
