second cropping potatoes

Still away, but just betting that these spare Nicola potatoes, that had been saved from spring planting and popped into holes two weeks ago, are now doing brilliantly.
They will grow until the end of the season, and then be left in the soil. I hope to be able to lift some new potatoes for Christmas dinner!!!!

Back soon!!

This happens to me almost every year. I plant the potatoes early and then harvest in mid-summer. Then about a month or so later the ones I missed, but managed to separate from the plants, start to sprout. By mid- winter, I get another crop of small ones.

Tomorrow we visit the allotment after two weeks away.
What will be waiting?
Will the potatoes have succumbed to blight as they did last year?????
