chard and spinach
Tiny, module grown spinach and chard plants were put out this weekend.
I felt so cruel!
Middle of May now, and so chilly at night. The poor little plants are going to have to make their own way in the world with their roots in cold soil and their leaves exposed to the chilly evening temperatures and the late frosts that roll down the slope.
We have lots of rabbit evidence at the moment. The mesh should give protection to that threat to my little plants.
By the autumn I hope that we have strong, leafy plants for picking and eating fresh.
