rabbit damage

Our spring is late. And we have had little rain.

The ground is dessicated and little is growing.

Wildlife is suffering in these conditions and here we can see the consequence: the signs of rabbit damage.

Onion crops are not usually affected by rabbits. The taste must be too strong and the rabbits will take a nip and hop off to nibble something else.

There is, however, nothing else for the rabbits to nibble - so they are eating anything green.
