Knepp
Day 94 #365DaysWild
At last a visit to Knepp, the progenitor of UK rewilding.
The landscape of British conservation was transformed by the brave imaginations of the owners.
Natural systems recreated with large herbivores reshaping the former farmland.
Large areas of bramble scrub. Reintroduced beavers and white storks.
We dipped on the now-abundant nightingale, purple emperor and turtle dove. Just have to visit in spring!!
Thank you to Charles Burrell and Isabella Tree.
