Grapes
Day 222 #365DaysWild
In a broken down summerhouse, big bunches of grapes were still hanging.
A child of postwar austerity, I can’t bear to see them wasted.
So, into a bag go bunches of grapes to be salvaged.
1.2kg frozen to be added to fruit compotes.
And although lots of grapes were discarded, they weren’t wasted.
Our resident blackbirds loved ‘em! And the male bird has one of our rings on his right leg! ‘He’s one of our own’.
