Courgettes arrive - at last

At last, summer has arrived in Nottinghamshire. Okay, there's still rain, but this is England. Rain is what we do.
Our courgettes have all failed at the allotment. Rain, cold and slugs proved too much. This courgette escaped because it was a spare and we brought it home. It is now doing well, bathed in sunshine on the patio. As well as the courgettes that can be harvested, the flowers are edible too. They can be coated in a thin batter and deep fried.
Gardening and eating - a great combination!
