Rocket fan

Rocket leaves have become one of the fashion foods over the past few years. Their leaves are peppery and give a welcome tang to salads. Rocket is very easy to grow in containers or beds and self seeds, providing us with free food season after season.
As the plants mature, they send up tall stems topped with creamy white flowers. This is usually the time to pull the plants out and compost them or feed them to the chickens.
But wait - their flowers are tasty and great to eat too. Use them to garnish salads. Or nibble them straight from the plant as you wander by. Delicious.
