snow

The worst weather for twenty years came on Candlemas today.

What passes for bad weather over here must look laughable to my blogging friends in the States and they will probably smile too to learn that no trains came out of London today and that every single London bus stayed in the garage due to road conditions.

But we took an evening walk and enjoyed this rare event. It was beautiful.

Here's what the garden looked like...

When a fellow forum buddy of mine from the UK mentioned the horrible weather, I immediately thought of you and your garden. I sure hope your garden was protected enough to survive the freezing temperatures and snow. I know when we got ours over Christmas it killed everything I was growing.

Thanks for that cheerful thought!

The mild winters we have become used to have encouraged us to use less hardy plants. This winter freeze will catch a lot of gardeners out and here may well be a plant Armageddon this spring!!!!!
