Day 122 #365DaysWild

Vegetable garden.

Still lots of green even as we head to the end of October.

Invertebrates on the wing including red admiral and common carder bees nectar on the dahlias.

Little siskins in flight call overhead.

Protective mesh removed from carrots and kale.

Dying leaves removed from kale and broccoli to discourage slugs and snails,

Weeds to the compost bins.

Grazing rye green manures flourishing. Protecting soil structure and fertility.

The annual reinstatement of paths with rotted straw and chip.

Winter carrots cropping well.
