There are over 330 different microspecies of
blackberry in Britain.
And this year is a great one for blackberries.
Whopping bagfuls collected along the lane. Big ones.
There’s something primal in gathering nature’s bounty free.
Frozen, caked or in a compote.. Great in your porridge after a pre-brekkie walk.. Crumble & custard next up…?!
Hedges still loaded with fruit for insects, birds and mammals.
