an insulation mountain arrives ....
To Cordwood yesterday and an articulated lorry was gingerly making its way down the drive.
Almost the entire contents of the lorry were for us - huge polystyrene slabs that must be sawn and placed on the floors after we have laid a damp proof membrane.
Above the insulation will be fitted underfloor heating pipes and finally a screed of concrete will be laid.

Rob, I'm just catching up on your posts, and thinking, what an amazing journey that you and Jill have been on!
Building a new, energy-efficient house, along with establishing a new sustainable landscape, too, is a big challenge!
We're establishing a new landscape in our future 'retirement' location, but happily were able to buy and modify a pre-existing 'eco-house' there.
Kudos for you and Jill for taking this transformation on!
Thanks Lisa!
