let there be light.....

It is said that the public thought the first electric lights were a kind of magic - I know how they must've felt!

We began the building work back in April '12 and have been working steadily ever since...

And with each step forward the place has been transformed and has become more and more like a real house. When we lined the walls with the glass fibre airtightness membrane, the rooms took shape. When plasterboard 'dry lining' happened, and then plastering, the rooms had definition. And for three weeks now we've been painting the walls and each coat has made the rooms somehow more 'real'.

But when Dave switched the kitchen lights on, there was an audible gasp. We had light!!! Real electric lights!! Energy efficient
LED lights that each have a life of 90,000 hours!!! Quick, switch 'em off, there's only 89,999 hours and 45 minutes left..... We don't want to wear them out...
